Two SDAN membership meetings were held virtually on Thursday, May 14, 2026. The topics of the meetings were focused on the national and state trends in self-direction as well as the proposed DDA Waiver Amendment #4. We had two guest speakers. Heather Sachs, Policy and Advocacy Co-Director for the National Down Syndrome Congress, gave a Federal update on Medicaid and Molly Morris, Co-Founder of The Self Direction Center spoke about budget cuts to self-direction around the country as well as in Maryland and the differences between Institutional care and self-direction funding.
